About the Blogger

I am a third year English major at UC Berkeley. I want to go to grad school for English, obtain a Ph.D, and become a professor. At least that's what I tell myself. All I want to do is write, to be honest.

And that's what I've been doing, in at least small form. In Fall 2006, I had a couple of poems printed in the Cal Literary Arts Magazine. From January 2007 to December 2007, I wrote the Sex on Tuesday column for The Daily Californian. Sex on Tuesday is the most-read piece in the entire paper, pulling in about 10,000 pickups out of a campus of over 30,000. OK, so that's not so small scale.

I also blog. A lot. First, there was CalStuff, a news blog focusing on UC Berkeley. I did that from about October 2006 to February 2007. Then I got scouted by The Daily Clog, The Daily Californian's own blog. A few months later, in May, I became the blog editor and managed the blog up until December 2007. As for now, I'm another peon blogger at the Clog and my own woman here on Carnal Embrace.

Goals? I have a lot of them ... I guess you could say I'm overly ambitious (despite my cynicism). In terms of creative writing, I want to get published in various formats: memoir, poetry, novel, play, and short story. I'd like to continue blogging. And I want to be able to survive financially while doing all of this. Looks like I better get a day job.
